“Well then, let me add something to that list of yours...” Quickly, Jose put his arm around Ciel in a headlock, bringing his own face to eyelevel. The coat fell down on the ground; unprotected, the two were immediately drenched in sheets of fine rain. Before Jose was able to react, Jose planted a kiss on Ciel’s lips. Ciel’s eyes were wide at first, as if unsure, so Jose pressed a little harder, a little more urgently, and when Ciel kindly closed his eyes, so did Jose.

Rain and Rum Part OneJose sat down in his seat behind his desk, yawning and stretching as he did so. Outside, the rain came down in monumental sheets, crashing down upon the poor inhabitants of Calabaza, the wind whipping ice-cold drops of sleet with great ferocity. The large window overlooking the campus was awash with the pitter-patter of raindrops as they were lobbed in groups at the glass, creating small craters of water for a second before they were washed away and immediately replaced.
